What people say about Rapita Charter

FAQ — Disfrutona, License Free RIB

Do I need a boat license to rent Disfrutona?

No license required. Anyone over 18 can drive it. Disfrutona is designed for beginners — in fact, for most of our guests it’s their first time on a boat.

Do I have enough experience to rent Disfrutona?

No prior experience needed at all. Before you set off, Raimundo gives you a full briefing, explains how the boat works, recommends the best routes, and goes out with you for a practice session outside the harbour — anchoring, maneuvering, everything — until you feel genuinely confident. Around 90% of guests have never driven a boat before, and they all love it.

How many people can go on Disfrutona?

Up to 4 passengers. Most groups are couples, and many bring young children too — it’s a great family option.

Where does Disfrutona depart from and how do I get there?

We depart from Club Nàutic Sa Ràpita, in the south of Mallorca near Campos. Disfrutona has its own private berth inside the marina — the only license-free rental in the entire south of Mallorca with a dedicated mooring. We’ll send you the exact meeting point via WhatsApp before your trip.

By car: there’s a large car park right at the marina entrance — you can drive inside for up to 15 minutes free to drop off your belongings. Full-day parking just outside is around €8.

By bus: TIB Line 508 from Palma stops right next to the entrance — just €5.

What’s the minimum rental duration?

4 hours. This gives you enough time to reach the best spots, anchor, swim, and enjoy the coast without rushing.

Is fuel included?

Yes, fuel is fully included — the tank holds 25 litres, which covers a full day of normal use. If you plan an unusually long trip, we’ll let you know in advance.

What routes can I take?

All trips depart from Sa Ràpita. By law, unlicensed boats cannot go more than 5 nautical miles from port or sail at night. Fortunately, Sa Ràpita is perfectly positioned — heading left you reach Es Carbó, heading right you can go as far as Cala Pi, passing Es Trenc and all the coves in between. Raimundo will recommend the best route based on conditions that day, including a secret little island that most visitors never find.

Can I choose my own route?

Yes — within the allowed navigation area. After the briefing, the sea is entirely yours. Stop wherever you want, anchor in a cove, go at your own pace.

Is Disfrutona suitable for families with young children?

Yes. The south coast of Mallorca is very sheltered and conditions are usually calm. The boat is stable, easy to manage, and the swim ladder makes getting in and out of the water simple for everyone.

Am I insured in case of problems at sea?

Yes. All boats and passengers are fully insured. If the boat sustains any damage during the trip, the insurance covers up to a certain amount, and the rest would be covered by the security deposit.

Do I have to leave a deposit?

Yes, a €300 refundable deposit is required, payable in cash, card, Bizum, or PayPal. It is fully refunded once we confirm the boat is in the same condition as when it left. You’re welcome to take a video of the boat before departure to avoid any misunderstandings. If any mechanical issue arises that is not your responsibility, you will not be held liable.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If conditions prevent sailing, we recommend rescheduling to another date. If that’s not possible, you can request a full refund. The Rapita Charter team makes the final call on weather cancellations.

What is the reservation and cancellation policy?

You can reserve by paying either the full amount or a 20% deposit. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure — cancel through the website for a full refund. If you cancel within 24 hours of departure, the total amount will be charged.
